Moving forward....

Lifen didn't seem to notice the air bender, nor her condolences. Her eyes were fixed on the white snow before her as tears spilled down her frozen cheeks. When the maids realied that Lifen wasn't moving they gently went to the young lady's side and helped her into the hut."Come, young miss, we before you freeze," said one gently beside Lifen's ear. As awful as it was to talk about it so soon, they all needed to discuss what was going to happen to the Mistress' body and when to head back home to report the news.

Lifen's feet moved beneath her without her awareness as she was lead back into the hut where the now still body of her mother lay.

"S-sorry si-, I-I-I mean Rennick!" stumbled the boy. His eyes averted Rennick as he felt heat rush to his cheeks. For some reason the boy always felt like he was being calculated and assessed when he was near Rennick, and it made him feel a tad uncomfortable. Torrik hastily picked up the rest of the items and stood back up. It was obviously quite a bit to carry. Even Torrik's lanky arms seemed to have trouble holding the bundle together.
